What order?

Guys recently purchased warhead and feel that there is a memory leak is in the game, to the point that it lags out.

Now my current system is vista32 premium with 2 gigs of ram also 9800gtx gfx card.

My question is this, in what order does the system look at memory usage as i am looking to add more memory but know the limitations on how much a 32bit system can utilise.

Is it.
1. All onboard memory including gfx card's first, then the memory in the slots.

or
2. It does not matter.

not sure what you mean by the order, but i do know that the total addressable memory of a 32 bit OS will include the gpu memory, too.

With a 512MB graphics card you'll get around 3.2GBs of RAM roughly in a 32bit environment.

I think calico wanted to know if the 32bit OS assigned all the system RAM to the addressable area, thus leaving him with a GFX with 0MB GDDR.

The answer is no. The system RAM will be the last assigned memory, so all your other stuff is addressed first

Does that mean that a Quadfire 4870x2 system wouldn't even boot in 32 bit?
