What OS should i use?

Right,im kinda losing interest in windows 7 as I havent got a complete version of it yet,so I was wondering which os would be a good, stable one to change to? Is it still xp?
 
nah well ive got windows 7 trial version build 7(something, something) it is good i must admit but im just bored of it so i want to revert back to either xp or vista, but ive heard vista aint that good, so i was wondering what do you lot suggest?
 
a lot of people have only got the RC version and use it pretty much perfectly, the proper thing doesnt come out till Oct..

vista is fine providing you have the spec for it, as long as you have 2gb memory or over you shouldnt have any issues.
 
I'm not sure how W7 is more or less "boring" than XP or Vista? Operating systems generally are boring for non-geeks, its applications people are interested in.
 
Why not stick with W7 RC? You'll be downgrading if you move to Vista and just end up formatting your drive one extra time if you go from RC>Vista>W7 instead of just RC>W7.

Agreed; the Win7 RC has been rock solid for me ever since downloading it and using it full time; more stable than Vista and certainly more so than XP.

What are you hoping for from an OS? Dancing leprechauns to give you a bit of a jolly every half hour? :D
 
Well yes that is what I was expecting,ive thought it through and ive decided im just gona go with a fresh install of w7 rc unclutter all the crap thats on there atm
