Hi, just wondering what’s the best type of paint to use on my Corsair Air 540 case, I wont to paint the black plastic, not the metal fan grills. I would like to make it look like the Corsair Air 240, which I have sat in the same room.
Any paint suggestion would be great.

Take it to a local car body spray shop? That'll give you the best finish. Or just spray paint them yourself?

Thanks for the reply but Its the type of paint to use I need advice on.

Just a heads up mate. This section is for project logs not question threads whatever its related to. Probably better suited to the case section.

I wasn't sure where to post really, but there's a "Modding: Tips, Guides and Tutorials" at the top..

Message to the mods if this is in the wrong thread could you transfer to the case section.

There's no best really. You can get good results with all of them if you do it right.

Something like Krylon Fusion seems to incredibly popular as it doesn't require as much prep as automotive paint, I think Plasti-kote make a similar version too.

You want either "Black" or "Gold" by Montana. Don't worry, Black and Gold are just the names of the paint.

However be warned, it comes out thick and fast, so make sure you do your homework on painting before you attempt it. You will need to sand the surfaces to give them a key, then clean and prime. I recommend getting some "pre paint" cleaner from a body shop supplier.

You need plastic primer, top colour and clear,800 grit paper for keying, panel wipe for between each key and coat. Plastics have their own primer as normal paint just falls off.
