hi, what parts do you need to build a comptuer and what do they all do?

CPU - central processing unit
RAM - memory
Motherboard - think of it as the thing that holds everything together and allows them to communicate
GPU - graphics processor
Hard Drive - storage; at the moment they are expensive due to recent floods in Thailand
Optical drive - read/write CDs/DVDs/Blu-Rays
Case
PSU - power supply, do not skimp on this as a cheap one may blow taking every component with it

Nope, storage is where your saved files are.
Memory/RAM is where temp files are kept.
