took delivery of it yesterday, my computer is still as it is in 2nd pic lol i havent go round to it yet, so hopefully it runs fine and no noises etc.

i know this brand has ups and downs, but got it from the zon and customers were rating it well, ironic to pay more than what my cx450 cost , included adapter sold me though, the idea was to make more space in the case and because my am1 barely uses 80w, however i will want to replace my motherboard/cpu for something better, may even change case for m-atx of similar size, but what would be the best parts to trust with this psu?

this pc is in my bedroom to use for downloading music and applying to phone amongst general usage when in bed, i do have my steam and origin on there to try 2 point hospital and sims 3, but if i get better parts i may try other lightish games, its just meant to be a low rent 2nd pc.

You have the full 300w available on it's 12v rail so you could run a 1050ti, maybe even a 1060 on it if you don't overclock anything. One thing I will warn you of though, it will get noisey if you get anywhere near it's max rating so I would try to keep it around 200w or below to keep it quiet.

thanks for reply.

i wasnt quite aware it got all the 300w, the label isnt made out like other units, anyways thats good to know..

are you suggesting the 1050ti because it wont push the supply too much? i know it should have a 6 pin, but that might not mean anything ha, okay lets just say 1050ti be the max or generally no card higher than 75w, what about processors then? i was going to get another ryzen, but im looking more to intel, but older stuff perhaps, i have a aftermarket cooler on my athlon i will be keeping and want to keep using, it supports intel and amd(not am4), with a 300w unit i cant see myself overclocking either way.

Just to give you a rough idea of power draw, the absolute max I have ever managed to force my pc to draw was 367w at the wall using OCCT's psu torture test which is designed to put as much load on the psu as possible. That was with the pc in my siggy and includes the water pump, 2x fan controllers, 12x 120mm fans, 4x 200mm fans, several led's and 2x temp sensors. Max power draw when gaming has been 272w at the wall with most games pulling anything from 122-245w at the wall. You will be surprised at how little power modern components can draw, especially if no overclocking is involved so you could easily fit a decent cpu in that pc.

Yes I suggested the 1050ti because of it's low power requirements (to keep the psu fan from ramping up) plus I think it would be a good fit for a small case like yours.

havent been computer for days, but thanks for reply.

ive changed cases and in the end i went with a low power option and picked these up earlier(£50 and the board is basically brand new) just need to get ram.
