What pc storage do you'll have?

I was going to upgrade this cycle as my main machine is 7yrs old, but the availability issues put me off. As such it has collected a number of drives over the years, some of which have been replaced / upgraded / rationalised but atm it's:

OS 256 GB 860 Pro
SSD1 1TB 850 Pro
SSD2 1TB 850 Evo
SSD3 1TB MX500
SSD4 4TB 860 QVO
Local Backups 2x 12TB Ironwolf

FreeNAS - 4 vdevs, each raid1, 2x 8TB WD Red, 2x 10TB WD Red, 2x 12TB Ironwolf, 2x 12TB Ironwolf.

None of the SSDs are over 50% utilisation as (I think?) that used to be a thing but tbh I don't know if that still affects them or not. Similarly the NAS is around 50% used but I've been replacing the older 4,5,6 TB raid1 pairs over the last year and zfs gets cranky when utilisation goes over 80% or so. The QVO was supposed to replace at least the crucial and the samsung evo and maybe the Pro as well but you know how that goes... ;P

Like some of you I've basically got all of the data I've ever had since the first machines I could easily transfer files from to the next thing.

500GB Samsung 970 NVMe (Windows + A few games)
256GB SSD (Games)
4TB Samsung 870 SSD (Games)
3TB crappy slow 3.5" HDD (All sorts of rubbish )
2TB USB 2.5" HDD another very slow crappy HHD (Used for backing up all sorts)
Plus lots of smaller 3.5" HHD's kicking around that i had in older systems over the years

4TB 2.5" USB HDD connected to my Xbox one X (Used for downloading & installing multi game pass games)

I can't wait to rid my system and my life of them dead slow HHD's,
I have wasted far to much of my life waiting for them stupid slow old fashion HHD's to copy, Install, Load stuff etc :(

250GB Samsung 960 EVO SSD
500GB Crucial MX500 SSD
4TB Seagate HDD
And I've just today added a WD Black SN750 2TB SSD which I got for an absolute bargain, although I'll probably use it to replace the Samsung as my second M.2 slot requires a horrible vertical riser mount thing which sticks out from the motherboard. If I can get rid of the HDD too, that'll be a plus.

500GB M2 960 Evo boot drive
960GB M2 MP500 refurb for photos
2TB M2 660P for Steam

4TB WD HDD shucked from an external enclosure for everything else

NAS - 2x12TB WD Datacentre drives shucked from Xbox enclosures.

@chaparral

Come back when 100TB of SSD doesn't cost a small mortgage. Till then spinners 4life.
I see no need for having huge amount of TB's these days apart from what i need for my steam/gamepass/ etc games

Many Years ago i used to spend a small fortune buying HHD's to store 100's of movie backups on, But these days i deleted all them movies as i bought most of the movies i wanted now on my ATV (itunes) and i just stream them..

yeah same here re buying lots of hdds
last time i looked i had over 120 TB across 6 pcs mostly film rips or 100% BD backups (easier to watch than a BD or DVD with annoying adverts you could not skip {( )

Main pc: 1tb nvme (200g os partition, rest foor games) + 500g sata ssd for more games + 250g sata ssd that I haven't got round to clearing down and moving to another system.
Also just ordered a 1tb drive for recording gameplay to as my 1tb external is almost full.

2nd pc: 120g sata2 ssd, split into 60gb win10 + 60gb linux - need to add more but not a priority right now

Game server: 250 nvme + 500 mech

Keen to add 4-8tb of nas at some point attached to one of these systems for backups/films etc but money is tight at the moment!

Main PC -
256gb Boot NVME (Samsung)
1TB WD Black SN 750
4 x 3TB HD Seagate in Mirror Storage Pool (Ongoing Launchbox/ Emulation Project)

Secondary PC -

256gb Sata SSD Boot
1.5TB HD Scratch Drive (Can't remember brand)
2 x 4TB HD Seagate
1 x 6TB HD Seagate
1 x 3TB Toshiba

NAS

4 x 8tb WD Red Plus (backups of most of the above)

My main work computer is just a Macbook Pro with 512Gb SSD

My ageing UnRaid server has:
4 x WD Red 4TB
3 x WD Red 3TB
2 x Seagate Ironwolf 4TB
2 x SanDisk 480Gb SSDs

Running dual parity and RAID1 cache gives me 25TB of usable space

My second UnRaid Server has:
2 x Seagate Exos 16TB
2 x WD Red 4TB
1 x SanDisk 256Gb SSD

Running single parity and cache gives me 24TB of usable space

250GB Samsung 960 EVO SSD
500GB Crucial MX500 SSD
4TB Seagate HDD

4TB HDD is out, 1TB Crucial MX500 is in. Great to have a HDD-less system now, noticeably quieter.

OS = 120GB Samsung Evo 970 Nvme
Games = 1TB SSD
Storage = 2TB Seagate Barracuda (will upgrade this as it gets nearer to being full)

If I format I'll be merging the OS and Games together into a single 1TB Nvme drive.

1 x Crucial MX500 2TB SATA SSD for windows and fast storage
2 x Ironwolf NAS 6TB 5400RPM HDD for slow storage and backup images
Will add a 500GB NVME when system is upgraded

Mines got silly recently. Not as silly as some but silly by my standards.

In My TR Rig:
2x 1tb m.2 mx500's in raid as my C drive, windows install etc.
2x sn550's 512gb nvme
1x a2000 1tb nvme
1x 2tb sata ssd
2x8tb WD reds
1x10tb WD red
1x8tb Seagate
2x4tb wd purples
1x3tb wd red
3x1tb old spinpoint f1's

Then I have a couple of Nas's 2x qnap 8 bays (both full of 6/8tb drives) a netgear 4 bay full of 1tb drives.

I think that about covers it.
