What period of history would you like to see in a game?

I'm really interested in history, as for each period there can be drastic changes in which things operate, from what weapons are used to the design of building, etc.

I wish more games would explore a wider range of history periods, as it seems to be focus on modern day recently.

So, what period of history would you like to see in a game?

1600s - 1700s Japan for me. Not sure how well it would work as an RPG style but meh, that's my preference

Pretty well I would imagine. Skyrim - Feudal Japan would be a great setting.

More steampunk / industrial revolution stuff for me.

Brutal and highly diverse place, would make a great game setting.

A time travelling bounty hunter with special alien powers, like rapid healing, pain tolerance, advance chemical knowledge to be able to morph objects, especially liquid; whose time machine went wrong before spitting him out in some unknown year, his name: Jay Zeus...has a beard, long hair and is the style on his home planet of Heyvan. always leaves doors open so people ask him 'were you born in a barn?'

His mission was to search and destroy the evil Al-R robot which went rouge when it's owner installed the ProFit virus by accident.

This could be set in the present or future, but something like Orwellian "1984" would be interesting. Trying to survive totalitarian (authoritative) environment, and then the objective of the game would be to break that agenda.

Would like a caveman survival type game. Realistic and mmo would be good.

Other than that future is more interesting fallout style post apocalypse.
And elite style, take over the universe in pew pew pew space ships.

I would love a Napoleonic RTS or squad based strategy. Basically Napoleon: Total War... but actually realistic and good. Not tried Mount and Blade yet but it's probably not up to my realism standards

Yea caveman stuff would be great, I think a game is being made on cryengine 3 for it atm. I hope prey 2 gets released or made, cause it gives me huge bladerunner vibes

I'd say the stone age also. Based in a sandbox MMO. Where you'd have to discover things to advance through the game like discovering fire plus weapons etc.

And a post apocalyptic game based in the future would be a great game also. Man gets knocked back into the stone age, with old technology still around. But still has to discover ways of using the old technology again.
