bad pic i know but i'm trying to identify this phone..probably obvious but i don't have a smart phone so i have no idea, camera is on the upper corner

It looks like an iPhone 3G/3GS but there doesn't seem to be an Apple logo.

It could be the Google Nexus S/Galaxy S?

It could be in a case too, it's extremely hard to tell from that picture.
 
I think that's a Galaxy S (1)

I also think that's a naked shoulder behind it. That leads me to think it's your girlfriend and you're trying to work out when the she took the photo:o
 
The camera is on the wrong side for the Galaxy S, assuming that's the camera at the top right as we look at the back of the phone.

Edit - Unless it's someone taking their own picture in a mirror. If that's the case then I'd probably go with Galaxy S

i thought this, and then confused myself as to whether the mirror image would still give the camera on the wrong side (in relation to the hand), and then had a crazy moment where i just couldnt work out if it was right or not.

so i will go with you.
 
I've found the orginal image. not sure if im allowed to post it even with smilies?
