What podcasts do you listen to?

I have no idea now, due to Google closing down google podcasts and incorporating into that God awfull YouTube app which is ******* useless for searching anything.

The Common Descent podcast. Paleontology etc. Will and David are such glorious nerds.
Skeptoid. Always interesting.

Into history, music and true crime
Hardcore history is good but heavy. This is history: a dynasty to die for is good for short bite size episodes looking at the Plantagenets.

True crime… dr death, serial, American scandal are all good listens. I think the narrator for American scandal episodes is next level good.

outside of some really specific stuff (like limited Resources), I don’t really listen to many anymore - but I did really enjoy The Magnus Archives when it ran and will probably give it a second listen

True crime:
Serial
Undisclosed
In the dark
Bear brook
Death in ice valley
Teacher's pet
Paradise
On the ground

Comedy:
Off menu
Three bean salad
Elis and John

I have made huge dents in the Noiser podcasts. Finished Real Dictators and Real Narcos. On the Short History Of series now. All are good.

The Rewatchables and The Big Picture both of the ringerverse.

I used to be religious about Stop Podcasting Yourself and it's still quite funny, but I don't do all guests.

My new fave is "And That's Why We're Not Together" it's best to watch it on YouTube. David McSavage, his ex-,wife and his two grown children podcast together. Their shorthand is very funny and intense sometimes. McSavage is an Irish comedian, ex-alcoholic and enjoyed notoriety during a 4 year run with a sketch show on the national broadcaster. I am Irish so love it. Might be a bit parochial for others

Same but different is the THL podcast (Tommy, Hector & Laurita) just them chatting for 45 mins. Very Irish. Sometimes they do an episode from a pub in the west of Ireland and it makes you want a Guinness!

Film/TV:
Letterboxd
Kermode and Mayo's Take
Shrink the Box (on hiatus/stopped now I think)
Breakfast All Day

Comedy/chit chat:
Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend*
Dish*
Outcasts from the 853

Other:
Wiser Than Me w/ Julia Louis-Dreyfus (hiatus)

(*) I'll only download episodes that sound interesting

Fall of Civilizations has been really interesting for me. Some are better than others, but if you've half an interest then they seem to hit the spot of having a decent level of detail without being too nerdy.

Only 5, I used to subscribe to a few more, but don't get time to listen to them all before new episodes drop!

Nick Ferrari - The Whole Show. (daily radio show)
The News Agents (daily politics show)
The Vergecast (weekly tech stuff)
For the Many (weekly politics stuff)
Office Ladies (weekly episode re-watches).
