Hi, I'm just wondering what power supply testers are you guys using?

I have my old pst-64 it's a bit tired and I'm thinking of replacing it but what with?

I'm struggling to find anything new that looks like it might be robust enough for regular use.

Thanks in advance for your help and advice.

What sort of tests, and why? As an end-user, I never really need to test power supplies at all.
Hi, I build PC's which I sell and I also donate to my local community centres for less fortunate families.
The number one priority is I have to make sure everything I sell is safe.
I PAT test the machines once assembled but I also test each power supply prior to building, this is to ensure I don't damage any of the components I am using.
By using the power supply tester first I can ensure the voltage is correct and constant on each rail.
It's essentially an added safety check to protect the equipment and end user.

You could just use the sensors on a motherboard for that. Most of them will measure all the important rails - not very accurately, but accurately enough. Run some stress tests, and use software like HWiNFO64 to record min/max values.

While those things are a nice safety check to prevent anything being fried, as they put no actual load on the supply passing doesn't mean any given PSU is actually good - just not fatally bad!

(Well unless a PSU has a fault where at higher loads the village doesn't drop but instead increases!)

Testing and loading a PSU is something far more complex though.
