hey guys, just wondering if i can get some tips on a power supply
im going to be running a core i7 3770k maybe with a light overclock, 16gb of ram, a couple of 2tb hard drives, a blue ray drive and an AMD 7970 with a possible crossfire setup in the future

i was thinking about getting the corsair AX 860 watt PSU will this be enough?

That PSU will be more than enough. Be sure to get the non i version, as that one is better quality.

the non i version is better? really? i thought it was the other way around, thanks for the info guys was just a little worried about the psu didnt want a bottleneck or just flat out not enough power

Flextronics make the 860i & 760i internals, where as Seasonic make the standard 760w & 860w. Seasonic being the better brand.

ah ok :D
thank you very much for the info just one more question im going to be mounting the PSU at the bottom of a corsair 500R case any idea of the cable lengths? dont wanna screw myself and have to get extender cables and stuff lol obviously going to be running all the cables through the back of the case to keep things tidy

Where did you get that conclusion from, corsair choose flextronic because seasonic couldn't make the i series, the i series is of excellent quality i may add, top of the range psu, giving they gave it a 7 year warranty says it all.
