Hi guys got a very tight budget for a new pc. Dont want all the hassle of building it myself so was looking through some of the pre built systems.

The games im going be playing are WoW MW2 and hopefully black ops. What system you think is better otu of these 2:

With the upgrade 5770 gfx or:

Thanks for your help

Take the Krypt (first one)- MW2 and Black Ops definitely take advantage of 3 cores, and WoW supports up to 8 cores (although the benefits beyond 2 are fairly small).

Upgrade the GFX to the GTX 460 1GB if you've got the extra £30.

Its a tricky one.
Most games benefit from more cores, and will continue to do so.

For that reason, and the fact that the gfx card in the i3 build is a pile of crap I would recommend the first build (AMD Athlon II) and put a GTX460 OC 1GB model in there.

N.B. A GTX470 is an awesome card if you can stretch to it!

I just think its a bit late to go dual core, im sure he will play other games ;)

Its got HT, it can cope with the more demanding games, and with its higher IPC it will nearly always out-perform the X4 in games

But the graphics card that build has is CRAP and will limit performance more so than the X4.

i3 seems to get better/higher fps in games especially in WoW

Note that you've linked the X4 630 (2.8GHz) vs the i3 530 (2.93GHz)- and there's a very small performance difference in gaming, one that I'm sure would be almost all accounted for by the difference in clock speed.

And as others have said, the GTS 450 isn't nearly as good as the 460, or as good value for money. You'd be far better off with even a 5770.
