Hi,

Well the printer we have has packed up. We only use it for occasional stuff including some printing of photos. Can anyone recommend a printer for me?

Well I'm no expert on printers but the Canon Pixma series seems alright. I have the pixma ip3000 which is not bad. Be warned that the newer pixma models don't like it when you refill the ink cartridges, they will literally tell you off for doing so - damn clever printers.

epson r220,

excellent printer, cheap carts can be boght from the inkemporium, as long as you run a genuine cart say every 2 clone carts you wont run into any issues.

you can also get a continious ink supply for them ;) making them even cheaper to use and run.

Thanks for the link for that ink! Very cheap indeed.

What do people think to the EPSON Multifunction Stylus DX4250, as the scanning could be useful. Found it for £61 aswell.

I too vote the Canon IP range, I have an Canon IP4200 and it is an exceptional printer. Can't find any compatible inks for it tho :S.

Had to have a refill and as stated above, It told me off :(

Sol :)
