What process has a hold on my folder?

When I try to rename a certain folder in Windows XP through Windows Explorer I get the "Access is denied - make sure the disk in not full or write protected" message. I have closed all programs that I think would have a handle on files within this folder. Is there any way tp tell what process has a handle on a folder in Windows.

Btw to get around this I must log off and log back on again, but I can't be doing this everytime!

what used to be in the folder? i sometimes have this problem when i've installed a programme out of a folder.

Try Unlocker. It will try to tell you what is using the folder/file and will unlock it if it can.
