Afternoon,

Im looking at an mini skeleton build for my living room. What are the options processor wise with this case? I will use it to stream stuff to and web browsing but want something that could run windows 7 ideally.

atom build or ION

however potentially you could run a lot more
i would look into the zotac 9300 + a energy efficient celeron of some sorts

my home server idles at ~95W and contains a I7 860 and 6 HDD's + low power gpu and 8GB RAM + high end mobo obviously you couldnt run that on 90W but just highlighting that sometimes power requirements a grossly over exaggerated

An Atom/ION mobo would be a good choice for a low power build, a system using one tends to use around 40W if I remember correctly.

That wouldnt be the fastest system tho, so the Zotac 9300 would enable you to get a bit more power. Seen these boards running quad core CPUs off tiny power supplies, just make sure you dont get too excessive with overclocking it. If you dont mind spending a bit, something like an E8400 would be great, its dual core and a pretty darn good CPU!

Just dont go for a good graphics card, they tend to be the thing that ramps the power use up, better to stick with the onboard option

Thanks for the replies chaps, i have just got a zotac ion 330 motherboard albeit with a different case. I have windows 7 on it and im just setting it up.
