What PS3 games

I finally got around to ordering a replacement laser for the PS3 I was given and I want to know what games for it I should get.
I'm really out of touch with console games and have not owned a console since the early PS2 days, so please recommend me some games

No FPS games though, I'll still use my PC for those. I fancy some racing games (GT5 prologue worth it?) and some RPG - anything else I should be getting?

Thanks - I did do a quick search but thought I'd ask anyway

I had to Google what QTE was and I don't fancy that at all, seems boring!

I guess I can wait till next year for the proper GT5 then

I used to like MGS on the ps so I'll grab that I think.
