What ps5 model is recommended

My sister is thinking of getting my nephew a ps5 and asked me which one to go for, disk or digital. So he has a ps4 from years back atm and I’m afraid that’s all I know so any help appreciated?

I'd go with the BD drive version as it's always good to have the option to buy physical games, you can get them used for cheaper, sell them etc.
Look for the new 1216A, it's the latest revision (C Chassis) on 6nm, draws less power and produces less heat.
