What PSu do I need for an 9800GX2?

Hi

I have just been asked by my bro to spec him a decent gaming rig that will see him OK for the next few years. Have specc'ed a POV 9800GX2, C2D E8200, 4GB OCZ PC2-8000, 500GB Samsung Spinpoint, X-Fi Xtreme Gamer and a Seasonic M12 700W. Will this PSU be enough for his current rig? I saw a review that said the 9800GX2 pulls about 400 watts under load and thought that was a little too close to the 700W max...

Any comments welcomed!

Hello stealthgeek, a power supply unit such as the Corsair HX 520W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU will be more than sufficient to power the Nvidia 9800 GX2. The 400 watts that is quoted is referring to the entire system and not just the graphics card on its own.

I have the Corsair HX 520W and can highly recommend it.

That'll be 400watts for the entire PC, not just the graphics card.
