Ok, this is gonna seem a bit excessive, but I'll list all the components I plan to use, and the speed I'll expect to overclock certain components. I was wondering if someone could suggest an appropriate psu or if Ill need more than 1.

Core I7 980x O/c to about 4.2 general use to 4.5+ (heres hoping for a lucky draw) for gaming.

Asus Rampage III Extreme

12gb Corsair Dominator GT 2000mhz with air flow fan and air flow+ usage LEDs

3x nvidia GTX 480 sli o/c to 5870 spec on core clock

Sound card - Creative, cant remember the model, their flagship one with the 3.5" control bay

PCI DVB-S2 tv card
usb DVB-T2 tv adapter

Not sure about an SAS/sata 6gb pci-e raid controller

1x BD-RW + 1x BD-ROM (not sure about that yet, depends if I use a sata card as won't be enough sata ports.)

antec 1200 case so 6 extra fans, plus fans in rack mount case

water cooling using 2x laing D5 vario and 2x 480 rads with scythe gentle typhoon (having all the plumbing in a separate rack mount case, considering putting a crappy psu in there just for w/c)
So the above will probably require 1200w corsair pro or a lesser performance 1500w

But then HDD's, apart from gaming and all the usual uses, I'll be using this PC to serve audio/video to other PC's/Tv's throughout the house and will have a LOT of storage

I plan to use 2x sata 2 intel 120gb SSD's in raid0
2x WD Caviar Black 1TB sata 3 in raid0
4x WD Caviar Green 2TB Sata 2 in raid 5/10

Wouldn't the HDDs need like 500w by themselves?
Or would a 1500 or the corsair pro 1200 handle this?
Or should I use the corsair for the system, another like, 400w for HDD's and optical disc drives plus another small one for w/c, or share the one for HDD's with W/C components?

HDDs use approx 10W each sio no you dont need to allow that
Not sure why youre building such a stupidly OP machine but yes 1200W should suffice, BeQuiet or Corsair as stocked by OcUK

I'm building such a stupidly powerful machine because I know I'll be able to use it to it's full potential and have a need for it. Cheers anyway I'll go with corsair and if I get any instability I'll add another.
