What psu wattage?

Hello

Well I think its about time to upgrade my 4 year old pc as its starting to get a little long in the tooth. That latest f1 game has finally caught up to my system lol.

I'm looking at an i5 / nvidia route with gtx470 but I may want to go sli in the not too distant future as I really would like to get into 3d gaming.

One thing that has me baffled atm is what size psu should I get? 1000w would be an overkill right? The 500w antec earthwatts that I currently have would it cope with one 470?

the build will have an ssd as well

SLI GTX470 needs 750w ideally.

I would go for around 800w to give yourself a little leg room.

ok thanks guys, i did check out the psu calculator but i think I confused myself with all the options lol

should i stick with antec? never really had too much trouble with them but they tend to be dearer

Antec are very good, made by Seasonic.
