The XFX Power supplies are good. You would need to stretch your budget a bit, but as above, its a good idea to have a decent power supply. If a very cheap one dies, it may take the rest of your PC with it!

Difference between these two is modular and non-modular.

YOUR BASKET
1 x XFX Pro Series 650W XXX Edition Modular '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply £74.99
1 x XFX Pro 650W Core Edition '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply £64.99
Total : £151.98 (includes shipping : £10.00).

You could also get away with a 550W. (The XFX 550's don't come in modular though).

550 is more than enough. Even a good quality 450-500 will work fine.

I'd say a good quality 500w as minimum if you plan to overclock, 650-750w with 4 pci-e connectors if you want the ability to add another 7950.

650 is far too much for a single gpu system.

Their PSU's are good but why would anyone recommend anything by XFX when their cust services are,by far,the very worst that there is?
Corsair or Seasonic would be my suggestion

Aren't this new range of XFX rebranded Seasonics, whilst the Corsairs aren't any more? And don't OCUK look after the warranties for XFXs?

These are things I've read but not paid much attention to their verification. :p

Dont know mate, thats why I asked why ;)

OCUK will cover the 1 mth bit but I would still imagine that they would send them off after that. You seem to know more about this though to be fair.

I have the 850w modular XFX PSU, it has been both silent and 100% reliable for last 2 years. Comes with 5 year warranty also......

Not had to RMA with XFX so can not comment on thier service or appartent lack of...

I wouldnt go for seasonic or corsair, from my own personal experience they come with bad coil whine issues (my last 2 corsair and 2 seasonic), shame aswell as I always used to use corsair.
