Need some PSU advice. I am buying one today for my new build and so far have come across these two

a: Corsair VX 450W ATX Power Supply (CMPSU-450VXUK)
b: Coolermaster Real Power 520w Modular Power Supply

Apart from the clear wattage difference would I go wrong with either of these? Im looking for something fairly quiet...

It'll be running a Q6700, 4850, 2 Sata HD's.

Any other suggestions would be great too.

Thanks

Craig

Hi Craigy72,

our new TruePower New range of PSU's are well worth consideration. We have spent considerable money on R&D and time developing our new range of PSU's. If you have not considered Antec PSU's before, then you should, we have been doing it for 22years after all :) This new range is rock solid and will last you for many happy computing years.

These have some unique features that you will not find in other PSU's.

Features such as PWM fan for upto 50% quieter operation.

DC to DC voltage regulation modules, for upto 1000 times faster response times.

Hybrid modular design to reduce resistance, but still give you the option to add the cables you need.

These are our most efficient PSU's to date and have been awarded 80 Plus Bronze. They run avg around 89% efficient.

These are all built with dual layer PCB and all use high quality Japanese capacitors and are all overspecced for longer life.

Also, our PSU's will output the wattage we advertise all day long as it is the sustained power we advertise and not the peak.

5yr warranty.

Anyway, you don't have to listen to me :) Check out these reviews: -
