What PSU

I was hoping to transplant my old PSU into my new build, however when i transfered it, something seems to have gone odd, and it went pop.

So what PSU would you recomend for a i5 procesor, with 4 gig ram, and a HD5770 1gig ATi card.

Ill have a wander into my local town tommorow. Going on what ive told you above what wattage should i go for and are there any brands i should avoid?

Qtech and anything which offers high wattage at ridiculous prices.

500w should be fine forbyour setup.

Corsair, BeQuiet, XFX And Antec are good makes.

Silverstone, Enermax, SilverPower Gorilla, OCZ, Thermaltake Toughpower are also brands that you shouldn't be afraid of buying.

500w and about £50 would be about the correct price. The brands above are what you want, dont fall for the "750 watt" with the £15 price tag, it will go pop and kill the rest of your PC with it.
