I am looking to upgrade my rig in the next month or so.
At the moment i have a ivy i5 OCd and running at 4.4 and also a r9 290 OCd .
I want to watercool the lot with a custom loop (will be my first loop) and also add in another 290.
At the moment i have a 850watt PSU.
What do you guys rekon?

An upgrade it is, then. Here are a few options:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Seasonic 860w '80 Plus Platinum' Modular Power Supply £155.99
1 x Corsair Professional Series AX 860W '80 Plus Platinum' Modular Power Supply (CP-9020044-UK) £149.99
1 x EVGA SuperNova G2 1000W '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply £139.99
1 x Seasonic M12II EVO Edition 850W '80 Plus Bronze' Fully Modular Power Supply £89.99
Total : £550.96 (includes shipping : £12.50).

Keep an eye on the weekly offers - good PSU deals come up on there quite often.

I have the EVGA and it's a fantastic PSU so far I've had no problems at all, and with the 10 year warranty I'll probably upgrade it before I need to use it.

So far I've had 650W and 750W Gold rated EVGA Supernova's and they are great.
I still have my 750W, still works great after 2 years without any problems.
And it is virtually silent.
I switched to EVGA 1000W Supernova platinum rated PSU which was on offer few weeks ago and its even better. G2/P2 is a new edition by the way, so you are buying best tech from best company out there.

The previous EVGA Supernova 650w and 750w units were built by FSP. These units are completely new and from a better OEM, Superflower. That 10 year warranty is unbeatable.
