Can someone recommend a cheapish PSU to use.
I'm wanting to build new pc. Bought used motherboard bundle (asus z87-k motherboard, i7 4770k cpu, 16gb ddr3,) a 4tb sata drive (whiped) and a new case. And I have 2 x sata dvd drives.
the case came with a Rhos 500B 500w psu.
Connected everything but nothing happened. At this moment I'm hoping it's the psu

Ty will take a look. If I buy a more powerful one will it be OK. I'm not sure if 500w is enough. One website says 250w another says 750w

What graphics card does it have? You definitely don't need 750 for an average system, but it depends what you want to put in it afterwards.

This is a fantastic deal right now.

That is cheaper than I thought. Was only planning on a gtx 970. Its minimum I need. I'm just learning lol. Ty for helping.
Tomorrow I'm going to try a few things to see if I can work out what is wrong with pc. Hopefully it's not the motherboard.

My experience, for what it's worth.

The highest power usage on my current PC would have been with this setup:

Overclocked i7 4790K@ 4.4GHz all cores
A 1070ti at 130% power maximum, which would put it at 234W as the stock power maximum is 180W.
16GB DDR3-2400
2 HDD
3 SATA SSD
A soundcard
4 fans (not including the 3 on the graphics card).

I have a 600W PSU. It's a good PSU and that matters, but it was fine for all that.

This is a fantastic deal right now.

That is a good price!
