just come to a silly conclusion.
i think the tubing is a bit to big so i have just ordered some of this Masterkleer 7/16" ID 5/8" OD PVC Tubing.
hopefully that will be smaller than the tubing ive got and push the water a bit more.
teach me to research a bit more.

Well it doesn't really make a blind bit of difference what tubing you use, that was debunked a long time ago. But if you were to change tubing for flow reasons you would want to go the other way for a less restrictive flow, so bigger bore (ID)
If you went for different tubing for other reasons e.g. smaller ID for tighter fittings on your barbs, or looks etc, then that would make more sense

I only have experience with the d5 vario, I picked mine up on the MM for £35 and it's been a great buy. I use it on speed 2 and it's inaudible to me, i used the higher settings when bleeding. Only down side is it has pre moulded 1/2 barbs although you can get after market tops that have standand g1/4 threads.
As already said tubing bore makes no discernable difference to temperatures.
