What PVR Software Should I Use With Plex?

Been using Plex now for a couple of weeks and really enjoying it. However, my Mac Mini is intended to be a full blown media centre with PVR functionality too, so whilst Plex fulfills most of that I'm still missing the PVR side of things.

What options are available to me? I've seen people suggesting the Elgato EyeTV on here - does it integrate well with Plex? Are there any alternatives?

I was thinking of running MythTV under Linux if I didn't like Plex. So far, I think I'm going to stick with OS X and Plex, but is there any hardware that is compatible with both OS X and Linux in case I do make the switch later on?

Any gotchas I should be aware of about trying to use my Mac Mini as a PVR?

I am using Plex and EyeTV and I like it, It does not integrate fully but I have it working well enough for what I want.

I can give you more details on how I have it set up if you want. :)
