What RAM and case?

I'm now ready to get the AMD 5600X and the x570 Tomahawk for my new build, but I'm not sure about RAM as it's not something I know much about except that I want at least 32GB.

Would anyone be so kind as to recommend would be the best memory for this processor and motherboard which will be used for gaming (1660 Super), and also photo and video editing?

I'm still stuck on a full tower case choice as well, something with lots of space and airflow options.

I don't mind spending if it means quality, but I don't need the best of the best, just good quality.

Many Thanks!

Thanks, I think that RAM will do nicely. That case looks nice, but when I read things like "280mm in the roof (dependent on RAM height)." it kinda puts me off a little and is why I'm looking at full tower - although I'm guessing even with this good design is essential.

Maybe a full tower is a little overkill and I'm not sure if my 8 pin for the motherboard will reach with some of them?

Is this one any good? I think a mid-tower which has a raised top section for the fans would be ideal. I think that's two USB 3.0 at the front, difficult to see.

At the moment I only run an SSD and a regular for slow storage, but I'll be getting an M.2 SSD so will probably only run one other hard drive in the bays, two at the most.

So many cases to choose from lol

EDIT: This looks good as well: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/be-q...wer-case-orange-tempered-glass-ca-12g-bq.html

Nice case but you Can't fit a 280mm rad on the top would have to go in the front.

Nice case but no fans

Cheers. That's ok about the fans, I'll be transferring my Noctua ones over from my current build. Kinda glad as I've read that the RGB fans and the cable setup with the other version have caused a bit of grief with some people.

I guess that's the case sorted and I think everything?

Oh that's a good point, I was going to carry over my Noctua one, but I'll need to keep that with the i7 for my son's build.

That's some beast, will it fit? lol
Asus case , Sure Will and competes with the top noctuas at a lower price point.

You will probably have to update the bios on the motherboard for the 5600x to work, use ths bios flashback feature.

Enjoy your build.

Here's my pick list, I'll be carrying my RM750i PSU, GTX1600 Super, fans and a backup hard drive across which helps save a bit. For £863 hopefully I'll notice the gains over my current i7 build but I'll need to wait for the motherboard to come in stock, although there's no ETA. :(
