what RAM do i need....

for my laptop?. its a sony vaio, win 7. i took some ss of cpuz in the hope it provides any info you need. looking to upgrade to some half decent 8gb ram.

looking at the pics you need ddr3 ram something like this

thanks. i have a vague memory of my laptop only being upgradeable to 8gb. is there any chance that could be true?

ps.... i take it the type of RAM i need is "PC3-10660 1333MHZ"? and anything labelled as such will work fine?

pps... been trying to find out and some people have mentioned that 1st generation i7's are not compatible with 16gb. does that sound right?

it would be best to have the excact model number of the laptop to do some better research but i think it should be able to have the extra ram but it would need to be on a 64bit os for it to see the extra ram hopefully someone with some better knowledge of this area might be able to shed more light on this for you...
