what RAM for 4CoreDual-SATA2 + Q6600 ?

already have a 7800GS+ AGP graphics card (still running old 3.2XP athlon)

looking at getting:
1. Asrock 4CoreDual-SATA2
2. Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 (1066FSB)
Just need RAM decision.

This review talks about 1:1 timings
and that DDR2-533 is (marginally) better than DDR2-667 ?

board only goes to 667Mhz, and that is 800Mhz ?
so I take it that makes no difference if it was set to run at 553Mhz ?

That ram will be fine mate, but wait for a second opinion to be sure if you want.

used that ram in that MB but with a e6300, it ran without a problem, once i flashed the bios as the one it came with didn't support the 2400pro GPU i had

I got the OCZ like you suggested, works fine :-)

detects at 533 which I wanted. (although I'd have thought it would pick 667 being higher ?)

but sods law, I've now killed my graphics card (see new post in Graphics section)
so benchmarks will have to wait a while

not my day really.
