I've almost finished my PC specs but I need to know what memory is too much and what is too little. I basically need it for top quality gaming and just a fast PC for browsing and small editing really. All help is appreciated and thanks in advance.

4GB is usually enough, you will rarely see any gain having 8GB in most apps and games. This is proabably your best bet and nice and cheap.

It's what OCUK use in their overclocked bundles and Gibbo recommends it as it seems to work at 1.5V whcih it's best to stay at on the Sandybridge chips

Most ram, particularly the corsairs, will run at 1.5-1.6 quite happily and the sandy bridge takes up to 1.65v happily anyway.

The 1.5v memory coming out is more due to the scare mongering around the idea of going too close to 1.65v than anything else.
