Gonna be ordering a quad 6600 tomorrow with an asus p35 mobo, just wondering whats the best ram to clock the quad up to around 3ghz?

These are my possibilities:

OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC2-8500 1066MHz SLI-Ready Edition

GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC8500C5 1066MHz Black Dragon DDR2

Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5 1066MHz

The crucial stuff is top end of my budget, ideally want to spend under a ton.

Any of the above to be honest Gerard!

I've used OCZ 8500 kits on a couple of occasions and found them to work very well indeed.

The crucial's have also been well reviewed on the forums.

As for the Geil - it looks cool but i've seen no feedback on it so far so couldn't comment.

I too am in the same situation thought about the crucial have now decided
that's the one to go for because of the great rma 48 hour turnaround.
No idea what ocz's rma is like though.

Unless you're gonna push the FSB beyond 400Mhz, stick with PC2-6400 at CL4. Anything beyond that will be wasted as the FSB will become a bottleneck.
