What RAM will work with this Motherboard

Hi, my old man currently has this motherboard in his pc but only has 16GB of RAM in it. He plays DCS heavily and is noticing a lot of lag now which I think is down to the lack of RAM. Currently in his PC he has the Corsair cm4x8gd3200c16k4 2x8GB sticks. He wants to get either 32 or 64GB so his games run smoother. The advice we are looking for (we arent too clued up) is would he be best off replacing all his RAM with 2x32Gb or 2x16GB sticks? will 32GB be ample enough for DCS (future potential for VR) or is 64GB more suited? similairly could he just put another 2x8GB sticks in if 32GB is enough?

To close, if anyone does have any suggestions and can recommend what RAM may be best suited then I have linked his current motherboard below if that helps, he also has an 11th Gen I7 processor so I know it can only go up to 3200MHz.

Cheers

Hi, thanks to both of you! Sorry for the late reply, been busy as of late. I'll take a look through that list and pick out some suitable RAM for him then.

With an 11th gen CPU, you'll probably be fine with any combination, but it is pretty rare that a game uses more than 32GB. If I checked the specs for the right game, then it says 32GB is recommended for "heavy missions".

I'd get 2x16GB and try to run it with the 2x8GB, then if you have any issues just take out the 2x8GB. If that's still not enough, then it leaves room for another 2x16GB (to replace the 2x8).

I also seen that it said 32GB for 'heavy missions' I just wasn't sure if 64GB would be required for VR too but I'll let him know. I also agree with just getting 2x16gb and then if needs be later on we can add more.

Again thanks to you both.
