I am planning on buying a system with a 1 x1900, an asus crossfire mobo and an AMD x2 3800+

I am not planning to overclock at starters, so I thought I would just need some cheap ram (2gig) now and maybe later buy the good stuff..... My question is then, what ram should I buy? Just the cheapest I can find here on OcUK? Or would it be better to pay tiny bit more and have the potential to overclock later at a miniscule price-increase?

Anyways... what ram would you recommend?

i'd have a look at the gksill memory, 2gb kit of pc4000 is running very nicely for me at the moment.

dont see much point in buying a cheap memory kit then upgrading later if you have the budget i'd get it now.

Look at the G.skill ZX. Perfect for running stock and can overclock (or you can just use dividers and keep the tightest timings for 2GB kits).

If out of budget, then I suggest the GeIL Value kit as they seem to clock OK or the G.skill HS kit.

Thanks guys... around 100 is affordable 120 is pushing it. But if it makes a big difference worth it I recon.
