What ram

I don't think you can get 2gb brand new for £100 or less so I'd probably be looking secondhand, Geil Value, Corsair XMS or Gskill kits all might be within your budget but it depends on how desperate the seller is. Any PC3200 should be fine though as you can run a divider if necessary.

The only problem with 4x512mb Ram is that you have filled all the Ram slots on the motherboard which means you can only run at 2T rather than 1T. If you can I'd wait and save up for a full 2gb kit but if not then Geil Value or maybe Corsair is where my money would go.

need to get some now , as this mem i have now is going over to marges pc

Well there is a Kingston 2gb kit going for £85 in the Members Market just now and that would be decent enough, that was just what caught my eye, there may well be other similar deals :)

If you do want to buy new then whatever is the cheapest option out of the PC3200 Geil Value or Corsair XMS is my recommendation.

Access to the Members Market forum requires two things. Firstly, you will need to have over 250 posts and have been signed up for at least 90 days. Please note that this does not mean you spam the forums simply to increase your posts, as this action will result in posts being deducted, and if you continue this behaviour, your account will eventually be banned/suspended. Once you reach 250 posts, you will need to activate your trust. This is either found in your UserCP, or you can press the trust button that appears at the bottom of all your posts.

I've just found 2Gb of G.Skill (Dual-Chan, CAS 2.5) for £95 inc P&P on the Members Market, bargain!

btw: this should be in the memory forum :)
