What razor?

Righto, I've been using a Gilette Fusion for a year and although it was good for a while, I'm getting a bit fed up with it, blades for it are crap and I have rather sensitive skin so get razor burn easily.

Now I know a lot of people on here bang on about Merkur razor's, but just which one is best for me? Not wanting to spend more than around £35-£40 exc blades. Just need a good starter razor, something that won't hack my face to bits and cause burn etc.

Thanks for the replies guys, I've tried other razors in the past such as Mach 3's and stuff and just find them all to be more or less the same, light flimsy things that don't actually shave very well.

Really got my mind set on a Merkur now, quite glad to see that there is still a fair amount of choice in their range for my price, going to do a bit more reading and hopefully order tomorrow

In the past I've never used a brush so I don't really know what to look for, suggestions/criteria?
