what registry cleaner?

I have spybot S&D in and tried its registry checker, it came up with a few files that it asked me to 'fix' I didn't bother because I wasn't sure of its credibility when it comes to cleaning registries.

What do you guys recommend? Preferrably free ofcourse unless the best one is only buy to use.

note: The things it came up with were regarding net framework 1.0 etc.

I'm on vista ultimate as well.

Very good for cleaning your system of those supposedly temporary files, which are more temporary than they make out to be.

Use it on all systems in the house and install on all clients systems.

don't recommend that - the OP is running vista. i completely ******* my vista install using regseeker. had to re-install.

it was great on xp, however.

I used RegSeeker all the time on XP. Haven't tried it on Vista yet.

WinASO Reg Optimiser, its not free though

WinASO is very good, I still have a license for that on my Windows box somewhere. Another excellent all round tool is jv16powertools, it does more than just clean the registry. Not free as well though.

In Vista x64 I use CCleaner and RegCleaner 4.3(run as admin ) being both are free is a bonus too.
