What room is your computer in?

In the study, you need a separate room. Otherwise when you have people round you have to worry they'll spill something on it or otherwise damage your precious monitors!

I do worry about dirt build-up on my PC being in such close proximity to the kitchen as it is.

Previously I only had to worry about the hilarious amount of dust that would collect in it.

In the bedroom.

I really want it in the living room as I'm fed up with being constantly moaned at for sitting upstairs all day, however she feels a PC in the living room looks out of place.

Currently in spare bedroom but missus hates it being in there..

Will be either the bedroom or living room once moved out, dependant on space of the new place.

Mine is in the West wing which annoys my man servant a bit as it's quite a walk from the kitchen & I do like my afternoon Tea.

My 'desktop' (ie pair of screens, keyboard, trackpad and desk) is in the study - which is the smallest bedroom in the house. I'd never think of having it in the lounge or dining room - that's daft. If I want to do casual browsing, then I just take the macbook downstairs and sit on the sofa with the missus.

(there is a PC in the lounge, but it's an HTPC that's bolted to the back of the TV - it's not used for 'work' - purely for media).

In the lounge, think the mrs would be unhappy if I was out the way most of the time once I got home. Also we play games together sometimes so we just leave the tv on low in the background.

One in my office (which is in the garden), one under the stairs with NAS and PS3 which is connected to living room telly, couple of laptops and couple of tablets knocking around. And another half fixed one that will be in bedroom or my workshop.

My main PC, the best spec'd one in the house is in a spare bedroom. We have another desktop in the dining room that the missus uses for her work and a couple of laptops.

same here, i am suprised at the lack of love for mancaves.

PC sits up there then just use laptop for messing about on

I'm genuinely surprised at the amount of people saying that they can't spend time in another room of the house without their missus become suspicious of what they're up to
