What router for Be?

I've been a Be customer for years - I think they offer the best broadband bar none.

However, the (very old) Speedtouch 780 they originally sent had started to act up needing a reset every few days and so they sent their latest Speedtouch 585V7.

However, the latest router has appeared to inexplicably halve the download speeds. For instance, I used to easily get 2Mb/sec from my university's FTP server but with the new router I can barely get 1Mb/sec. When I plug in the old router and instantly it's back up to 2Mb/sec.

I never changed anything in the default settings so I just presume the latest Thomson box isn't as good. I do need a new router - does anyone have any suggestions?

Yeah I got a useless BeBox too.

I'm using a Netgear DG834G - works fine.

I'm with 'Be' I use a DG843GT and DG834G and they all work very well......

Checkout my members market for sale thread I have both these routers for sale at the moment

I tried both my older routers and ended up using the BE supplies one
the difference in sync rate was about 1.5Meg

I am using a DGN3500 with the newest firmware update, it is adequate but, nothing special, good luck

I completely agree, Be is for Best!!!

I use the DG834G which works fine.. Although it does sometimes drop my connection

DG834GT with DGTeam firmware.
