What router to buy?

Hi

I need to buy a router as the pants one from Virgin Media doesn't work with my iPhone 4S.

Its currently a Netgear DGN1000 and on what is effectively LLU ADSL2

Advice and recommendations welcome, ideally I dont want to spend to much money.

It's Wireless N isn't it?

You might need to setup it up with a static IP. I had to do that with a Desire S on a BT Home Hub. Wouldn't work any other way.

It just doesn't work right, when connected to the router it degrades the connection to ALL devices on the network where its wireless or wired.
The connection goes completely on the router and then you have to power cycle the router.
I'm not the only person with this combination of devices so I'm getting another router to get around the issue.
