I'm sorry if this question is asked a lot, however I really need some help prior to ordering a new router.
My existing router is a TP Link TLWR340G (PPPoE) (Cable Router) This was provider by my internet provider.
I use this for Streaming Movies to a Samsung Smart TV (UE46ES6300) direct from a Synology 2 Bay NAS. The problem is this router sometime drop the WiFi signal to the TV.
So begs the question
1) Do I stay with a 2.4 GHz Router such as:-
TP-LINK TL-WR841N 300Mbps Wireless N Cable Router
2) Or do I go with a 5GHz Router such as:-
TP-LINK TL-WDR3600 N600 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Cable Router
Basically I need another TP Link Cable router to replace my ageing TP Link TLWR340G. I would like to stay with TP Link if possible.
I am the first to I am well out of my depth here, so I would really appreciate ANY help.
Thanks in advance
Syd
