Thought it was going to be an easu choice, but it seems some don't have full maps, some are slow, some don't have postcode search, others don't have points of interest, some no expandable memory and some don't have bluetooth to link to your phone!!

So what's got everything and is cheap.

I've heard good things about Navigo, but want something very simple to use as it will be used by the whole family - and some aren't "technically gifted"

thanks

The basic software for Navigo is rubbish

For basic navigation from all the big players, TomTom, Navman and Garmin are pretty good. If you don't need asll the fancy stuff like Text to Speech etc go to halfords or somewhere like that and have a play with them all.

The fancy stuff like traffic and text to speech etc differs between all of them, but thjey are all again pretty good, just depends on what you like.

sorry what is text to speech?

As in it doesn't say the directions to you?

Just got home from a trip to the gym using the Navigo which arrived a couple of hours ago. First impressions; it's not that bad. Clear instructions, decent screen, simple and smart. Some of the maps are a little out of date in palces, but theres a huge amount of road works and road changes going on in my area at the moment, so it's no surprise. The way it handles roundabouts is nifty as well; as you approach it brings up a full screen view of the roundabout detailing which exit to take.

Minor criticism; I went past a few small residential streets on my route which didnt appear to show up. Not sure whether I was zoomed out too far, but it could be an issue. After all, its navigating straight to your door that sat navs are most useful for. Overall though, seems a good little unit for the price.

that with the standard software or did you put TomTom on?

Also how much did you get it for?

thank you
