What SATA socket to use for C Drive?

One of the Intel ports (the 4 black ones and the 2 grey ones next to them).

If it's an SSD then an Intel SATA 3 port (the grey pair next to the 4 black ones).

If it's a HDD then any of the 6 Intel ports.

Thanks, should have said, its a Hard Disk Drive.

Thank you.

Yep.

The other four grey SATA 3 ports are from an ASMedia controller so if you need to use those install the ASMedia SATA3 driver from the ASRock website.

Good to know to download the SATA3 drivers.

Only getting round to doing this now, so if I want to plug my Hard Drive into Sata 0, thats a SATA 3 socket, will I need to install the SATA3 driver?

Another question please, Sata_0 and Sata_1, is Sata-0 the one closer to the MB?

Thanks for you help.
