Hi all,

Looking for recommendations,

What scanner do you use after you download a file to check for spyware/viruses?

Thanks

I dont usualy scan a downloaded file...unless its dodgy or coming from a dodgy source...if u get me. I have Norton, it scans downloaded files automaticaly for viruses. Spyware wise i have Lavasoft Adware, webroot spy sweeper and microsoft antispy (windows defender) - which to add a wee comment here takes AGES to scan...and i mean AGES!

Do you right click each item you download and then hit 'nod32' or what ever scanner you are using to them scan the downloaded file? Or is there another way?

NOD32 all the way :o

Yeah ive herd a lot of good things about NOD32, is it a resource hog though?
Do you have to use alll the 'real time' stuff or can it be turned off so you can just scan files with it?

Thanks

Hardly a resource hog! I have all the real time stuff on with no noticeable impact on my PC.
