What screen are you waiting for?

After 4 month of waiting for the Hazro screens it turned out that these screens where of sub-optimal quality. Obviously a massive disappointment for us who were looking for a nice 27" screen at a decent price point.

Personally I am hoping that the Samusung SA850 will come to the rescue at around £550. Maybe unrealistic?

What other screens are on the horizon that you are looking forward to?

I'm looking forward to seeing how the LG E2770V turns out. Its an IPS 27in monitor using a new 1920x1080 panel from LG. Many will probably say 27in is too big for a 1080p res, but tbh I use a 27in 1920x1200 Dell and I find the pixel pitch to be great.

That said, I think I will try out the LG 23in 120Hz monitor instead. Its only £180, 120Hz is great (shame the tech is limited to TN panels) and I want to see how I find Nvidia 3D on a day-to-day basis.

Edit: actually I think I may knock the 120Hz 3D malarky on the head (so long as the 27in IPS reviews well). Looking at launch pricing it will be under £300 - which is what the TN 23in + nvidia 3D kit costs. IMHO - in that fight 27in IPS wins.

are there any prospective 27" ips monitors running at 2560x1440 (apart from the Hazro ones) coming out soon (apart from the SA850)

Samsung SA850 if thats no good then I'l just get the dell U27. Shame hazro where a let down, though least the delay allowed me to see what the samsungs will be like.

Im waiting for the Sammy SA950 27" 3D screen, hopefully this will give me the chance to try out 3D sky etc, and if i like it ill get the panny VT30 3d telly, but if not i will still carry on playing 3d games

I'm waiting for the sammy one too but it seems to be taking ages to come to market. Initially set to release in March, its nearly May???

doesnt seem to be any 27s 2560 or above coming soon, if i were to change my u2410 for something it would at this point be another u27, cant see any other ones with the hazros being not good

Does anyone have any other information about release dates of upcoming >24" inches 3d monitors? As I recently moved to the UK I want to buy a desktop PC but since i'll have to buy everything (including a keyboard!) it seems I'll have to wait if I want one of the new monitors.

Since I'll go to Edinburgh for the weekend, does anyone know if there's a shop there that has a 3D monitor setup that can be seen? I've only seen 3d movies and tvs so I wanted to have a go before I buy a monitor.
