At my office I use a 24" Dell screen for web development and have an old 17" screen which I use to have our live support software running in, but I have just started working 'in house' for a company doing their website development and they have given me a nice pc (Intel Quad 2.66GHz) but an old 17" screen and things are a little cramped. I'm considering buying a cheapish 23/24" and bringing it in as it'd be better than what I'm using now.

Just curious about what size screens/setups you guys/gals have.

My main monitor is a 27in (1920x1200) Dell 2709W, which I upgraded to from a Dell 2408WFP - both briliant monitors.

My sister is using a 22in (1680x1050) Dell 2209WA.

You say you are looking for a "cheapish" 23/23in monitor, how much do you want to spend?

About £125-£150 max (it is for the office after all lol)

edit: never mind.. I keep suggesting monitors over that price range. D'oh!

But as to what screen I use... at home: dual screen HannsG 27 inch monitors. At work: 18.4in laptop.

23" (2048x1152) for programming (win) and general desktop useage and 22" (120Hz) for gaming. I prefer the lower res/physics size for gaming as its less for my eyes to travel over.

23" 1920x1080 Samsung Monitor, changing to the Dell 23" 2048x1152 at some point if i cba.

Just curious. Why go from 23" to 23" with such a small increase in resolution (7% more horizontal and 7% more vertical pixels) ? Just seems like if you're buying a new screen you might as well get more into the bargain, unless you need superior colour or something?

24" benq fp241w 1920x1200 on my main system, 20" viewsonic vx2025 1680x1050 on my second rig. They are older generation lcd's but both are still very good.
