Hi folks,

Heard a few stories of people losing images after problems with transcend SDHC cards, never had these problems myself but looking to get some new cards before my camera arrives.

Any recommendations? I'm guessing my 1Gb SDHC is a bit old for use with a Panasonic FX38 and would fill up fairly quickly :D

I've had no problems with SanDisk (3x512mb standard cards), and their Ultra II + Extreme III looks very promising; that's what i'm gonna use when i get my DSLR. Bought 2x4gb SanDisk Ultra II for £10 each. Also using a Veho 4gb class 6 in my current ISUX 75 atm and had no problems.

I'm using SanDisk Extreme IIIs but Ultra IIs are almost as good. I've also had no problems with Dane-Elec cards and I think the 8GB cards in my GPS is a Transcend.

Having just bought myself a 450d I wanted to know the answer to this myself and after a brief Google it became obvious that Sandisk Extereme III's were the best cards in terms of performance and reliability.

I know it's bad, but I have no idea what memory card I have. I don't know how big it is either, all I know is that it works, and that even when I have taken hundreds of photos, I still have plenty more space.

I am supposed to be helping out at a wedding in a few weeks though so I think I'll need another one or five!!!

That's AWFUL lol

For a wedding, work out how many pics you can take on RAW from a blank card, work out how many you might take at the wedding then double it, and then add 10%.

Then go out and buy the card that will give you enough room for that, then you should be ok.
