I have an Asus P5E with a Sapphire HD3650 running my first two monitors and had planned to run my third monitor on a pci card, but having migrated to vista i have found vista does not support these low end pci cards, so now i need a more up to date secondary.

Should i just buy a second 3650 or would something like a 2400 be perfectly adequate (and work ok?) ?

I had the same issue mate. I got a 3870X2 and didn't know what to do, so I made the executive decision today to order an HIS 3870XT on "this week only". Its only £112 so not much financial loss further down the road.

Get one of those!!

I dont really game so the 3650 is fine for me, hopefully there'll be a cheaper option than another 3650 for the secondary card, but if not its only another £50.

For triple monitors

I'm using an Radeon x600 PCI-E dual head, with a 8800GTX, well I was, I just sold my gtx, I'm now temporarily using a 6200 Turbo cache PCI-E for my dell 24" (my main screen) and the X600 for my second and third screen, works fine, but I do find you sometimes have to play with the drivers a little.
