2 gig geil 800 ram
quad core x3220

how do i get to 3 gig please

Assuming that quad core is not a Xeon. If it is, you may have additional problems with that motherbaord and RAM. If it's just a regular quad core Kentsfield...

got it to 2.7 any higher windows plays up had this chip to 3.4 on a asus board any ideas pleae

Possibly needs a divider to keep the mem speed low.
