What settings should I use with AC4?

So I have a HD 7870 and FX6300 and I was wondering what settings would be best for my PC to play at? Not necessarily ultra, high etc but should I use Vsync and what antialiasing thing should I use? Thanks.

V sync is poor in the game as in it has no triple buffering which means as soon as you drop below 60 fps it caps at 30 fps. Use d3d overrider or radeon pro to force triple buffering. AA i think i used was MSAA x2.

Awesome thanks. Are those programs free? The radeon pro for example?

try maxing everything except aa, played through this on a 7850 with that strategy, if you've got good performance then just up the aa till your happy with it.

i just used the normal vsync in game, but thats not so say heisenberg isnt right

Yeah I'm not sure at the moment so I'll take both bits of advice into consideration and experiment with the AA stuff, thanks for the help

no probs, its my normal strategy tbh, just max everything with aa at the start then up the aa till it starts to get too slow.

normally if i cant run maxed without aa i'll just not play the game lol, only happened once so far

Yeah Radeon Pro and D3d overrider are both free programs mate. Just google them

V Sync may have been fixed in a patch as i've not played it since about 2 months after release. Give it a go and see how you get on mate.
